Method
Prep & Cook the Chicken
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Pat dry the chicken breasts and season both sides generously with salt, smoked paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, and onion powder.
- Heat clarified butter or oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Sear the chicken for 4–5 minutes per side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Remove from the pan, let it rest for a few minutes, then slice thinly and set aside.
Make the Alfredo Sauce
- In a saucepan, melt 2 tbsp butter over medium-low heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
- Pour in the heavy whipping cream and bring it to a gentle boil.
- Slowly whisk in the Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce begins to thicken.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Simmer on low heat until thick and creamy. Set aside.
Mix the Garlic Butter Compound
- In a small bowl, combine:- Softened butter- Minced garlic- Chopped parsley- A pinch of salt
- Mix well until smooth and fully combined.
Assemble the Garlic Bread
- Slice the Italian bread in half lengthwise.
- Spread 2–3 tablespoons of the garlic butter compound on each half.
- Spoon a layer of Alfredo sauce over the bread.
- Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
- Layer with sliced chicken, and drizzle a bit more Alfredo sauce on top.
- Optional: add a sprinkle of chopped parsley for color and flavor.
Bake & Serve
- Place the prepared bread halves on a baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes, or until the bread is crispy and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Serve warm, optionally with extra Alfredo sauce on the side.
